The hit Disney+ show bagged four awards (out of 5 nominations) at the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards last May 16 and 17, 2021. WandaVision won as Best Show, while main cast members, Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn won for Best Performance – TV and Best Villain respectively, while their fight scene during the final episode won the Best Fight.
Teyonah Paris got a nod for Best Hero (losing to Anthony Mackie for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, another MCU show).
It’s been two months since the miniseries ended since it first premiered back in January, after a year long absence of Marvel content in 2020, being the first story told for Phase 4 of the MCU.
The show about a reality bending superheroine dealing with her grief after the loss of the love of her life had audiences spend week after week theorizing and having fun with memes, among other things, showed WandaVision‘s impact.
This is just an early win. There’s still the Emmys to win over later on this year.
